Julian Busch is documentary photographer who lives and works mainly between Greece and Germany.
He studied History and Islamic Sience at the University of Hamburg and Photojournalism. and Documentary Photogaphy at the University of Applied Sience Hannover. Currently he is based between Athens and Mytilini, Greece, where he is working on different documentary projects related to migration issues.

He has been working on assingment with DER SPIEGEL, DIE ZEIT, GUARDIAN, ZEIT Online and WOZ.
Besides his work got published in Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, Al jazeera, taz am Wochenende, Weser-Kurier, Shz magazine,  stern magazine and profil. He has been working with NGO's such as GIZ and Sea Watch.

In 2016 Julian Busch has been recipient of the »netzwerk recherche e.V« fellowship and worked together with Paul Lovis Wagner on a longterm project about refugees in greek detention centers.
